The Asian blockchain event Token 2049 will be grandly held at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel on October 1st and 2nd, coinciding with China's National Day holiday and the F1 Singapore Grand Prix. Failing to do your homework in advance may ruin your trip. This article covers everything from pre-event preparations, local transportation, to recommended restaurants and bars. If you're attending the event in Singapore, this article is all you need!

Preparation for Entering Singapore: Fill out the Electronic Arrival Card

The immigration process at Singapore airport is very efficient. First, fill out the electronic arrival card. If the luggage comes out quickly, you can leave the airport in as little as half an hour.

In Singapore, the commonly used ride-hailing service is Grab, and the subway allows mobile NFC payments.

Two main modes of transportation

It is recommended to use Grab for ride-hailing.

Subway can be paid with mobile NFC, no need to purchase a transportation card.

Must-try foods in Singapore, from Bak Kut Teh to Peranakan cuisine

For breakfast, I recommend the chain store Ya Kun, which you can find near subway stations. I suggest the soft-boiled egg with butter kaya toast. If you want to experience the local flavor, you can visit the main store in Chinatown.

Frog Porridge: Locals recommend G7 Frog Porridge & Live Seafood in Geylang Lorong 9 for live frogs and fresh seafood.

Nyonya Cuisine: Candlenut, a Michelin one-star restaurant, offers an authentic experience of Nyonya cuisine from the Malay Peninsula.

Fujian Cuisine: Chain restaurants are reliable, I recommend Nanyang Island. Coconut rice, Malaysian mixed rice ( fried radish cake stir-fried ), and stir-fried rice noodles are all highly recommended.

Fancy Brunch: The Populus, a popular brunch spot at O南園 Station, perfect for semi-formal meetings. Remember to make a reservation.

Bak Kut Teh: Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, Michelin recommended for you who don't want to go wrong: recommended at the Clarke Quay flagship store. Huang Ya Si Bak Kut Teh and Fa Chuan Ren Bak Kut Teh ( Legendary Bak Kut Teh ), can be collected all at once on Rangoon Road.

The only recommended food in Europe and America is Potato Head.

Hand-shaken beverage: Ba Wang Cha Ji.
